What Undergirds the Day

Our Lord's Day is a workshop for one's personal prayer life - a day of individual growth in prayer. The day is spent in returning & rest with our Lord; a time to, "read, mark, learn & inwardly digest" a story from Scripture; to learn how to write a modern day psalm; to experience prayers through the hours; and to discover & fine tune the ears to hear God's still, small voice. In the quietness of the day's surroundings, one will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit through the time spent with our Lord in prayer.

The prayer workshop teaches the foundation upon which a Tapestry Day of Prayer is built. An excerpt from Our Lord's Day book used during the workshop can be found under The Royal Tapestry Newsletter/Volume1, Number 1 titled "Adoration".

Past Our Lord's Day Prayer Workshops

San Diego

"I was in San Diego in October 1998 for the Tapestry Our Lord's Day prayer workshop. After some time praying together we all had a quiet time just to spend with our Lord. We were to listen - to let Him speak to us individually. Even in that way He weaves His tapestry. As I withdrew to listen, I heard nothing. I sat for quite a while - then that still, small voice spoke within me - "Bobbye it is hard to nurture silence in your noisy heart". I was taken back to a time when the Spirit of God began drawing me into times of silence & solitude. My heart was so noisy it took several months to bring it to a place of peace. That is when I began to hear the voice of God. I was led into deep intimacy. I have never lost the awe of His Holy Presence.

"Business drives us away from God. Solitude and silence draws us close. God begins to reveal His character when we come to Him just as we are, to seek His face. May we all take time alone with God to allow Him to adjust us as pleases Him."

Jerusalem

26 June 1999
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day. . Revelation 1:10

The Tapestry prayer workshop, The Lord's Day, was held at St. George's Cathedral in Jerusalem on 26 June 1999. Represented were Arab Christians, Jewish Christians known as Messianic Jews, Pentecostals, Anglicans, Evangelicals, and Catholics from around the world and throughout the Holy Land. The group was small in number but large in power. The prayers offered that day were for ALL God's people, for the peace of the world, and for His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. A submission to God's Word was taken in the form of an altar call. Women removed their shoes as they approached the altar rail to kneel in submissive prayer, knowing they were on holy ground.
