...it was the Third Hour and they crucified Him when the Sixth Hour was come there was darkness over the whole land. At the Ninth Hour Jesus cried out .. the curtain of the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom... 'Truly this Man was the Son of God.' |
with all your heart, soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 22:37-40, Mark 12:29-31, Luke 10:27, Deuteronomy 6:5, Leviticus 19:18 Tapestry seeks to instruct in the historic elements of prayer based upon our Judeo-Christian roots; to explore the depths of how to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind within our present prayer life while reflecting upon our goodly heritage, and meeting the challenge of tomorrow in Christ; and to inspire by illustrating the beauty of Gods expressions of worship from the entire Body of Christ in the cathedrals of the world. Each part of the Body demonstrates a splendor, a power, and an eloquence as these cords weave together during a DAY OF PRAYER while God challenges us to love our neighbor as our self. Let us lay aside outward differences to weave together in the inward likeness of Jesus (John 17) and to submit as Mary did when she prayed, let it be done unto me according to Thy Word. (Luke 1:38) An individual woman, like a single cord of three strands consisting of yesterday's goodly heritage, today's prayer, and tomorrow's ministry joins with other women to become part of a beautifully woven picture of God's living prayer - a TAPESTRY. Luke 1:38 I agree to pray to God, through His Son Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit for my family, the whole church, all nations, and myself. Bonnie H. Shannonhouse
